I need that salty crunch!

My favorite food in the world is regular salty potato chips. I’ve told my husband, and now all of you, that at my funeral…..someday…..a very long time from now….the food that should be served is salty potato chips with a buttery chardonnay chaser! But if I ate that combo daily, I’d be heading down that road sooner than I want to. So, I have two salty crunchy tips that help me out.

  1. I like to crunch up 5 potato chips or tortilla chips on my salad once in a while. You get that salty crunch and it is JUST 5 chips. If you think of it as “I get 5 chips today as a treat” instead of “I only get 5 chips today” you will feel more excited about it.

2. Popcorn baby!!!!!! Popcorn is a whole grain which is good for you and it is at least 5 times lower calorie than chips. You can add a bit of salt to your crunchy treat. Best served freshly popped and still warm.

Don’t give up that crunch, just revamp it a bit.
